Sometimes I have the need to translate large amount of Chinese characters to Pinyins and extract the corresponding radicals. Recently I found this js library ‘cnchar’ which exactly meets my need. Using the library I created this page for convience.

Caveats: The author of cnchar noted that all the Pinyin, radical, stroke databases are retrieved from the internet, therefore they inevitably contain errors. The author didn’t talk much about from where he retrieved the databased, but it can be tell that the radical database was from the chinese-xinhua github repo according to this pull request. The author of chinese-xinhua repo collected a character database by scraping from this website which provides a dictionary service for Chinese characters.
